Todos os anos, selecionamos cuidadosamente espaços exteriores que necessitam do nosso cuidado e atenção coletivos. Ao designá-los como Destaques, estamos a mobilizar a comunidade local para se mobilizar, unir forças com o Leave No Trace e causar um impacto significativo que pode revitalizar e proteger estes lugares especiais onde nos divertimos, desfrutamos da companhia uns dos outros e elevamos a nossa saúde física, mental e emocional.

A estação de campo de Capitol Reef foi selecionada como um local de destaque do Leave No Trace em 2025. A equipa Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Team estará na Capitol Reef Field Station de 13 a 15 de novembro, colaborando com os anfitriões e parceiros numa variedade de programas, incluindo projectos de gestão, workshops e sensibilização da comunidade.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 15:

Volunteer Stewardship Project, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Fremont River Trail, Capitol Reef National Park (near the Gifford House)

Join Leave No Trace, the Capitol Reef Field Station, and the National Park Service for a fun and rewarding, hands-on volunteer project focused on protecting and maintaining the natural beauty of Capitol Reef National Park. Volunteers will assist with light trail maintenance, trail brushing and related restoration tasks. Volunteers will also get an introduction to Leave No Trace principles, the importance of public land stewardship, and learn how simple actions can help protect our parks for generations to come.

Important information:
– Bring water, snacks, sun protection, and dress for the weather.
– Long pants and closed-toed shoes required.
– Tools & materials provided; please bring work gloves if you have them.
– Work may entail bending, light lifting and a short walk from the meeting spot.
– Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
– Advance sign-up encouraged.

Whether you are new to Leave No Trace or consider yourself an expert, join us for this interactive game night to gauge your knowledge of Leave No Trace practices and principles while learning tips and techniques for protecting Capitol Reef and all your favorite outdoor spaces.
