Join Leave No Trace, Washington Trails Association, the US Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management staff and partners and give back to the forest and public lands during a fun and rewarding volunteer project during the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest Leave No Trace Spotlight. Tasks will include a litter clean up, fence work, painting, and other needed restoration work. Volunteers will be introduced to Leave No Trace and learn more about stewardship education while also celebrating National Trails Day!
Important information:
– Bring water, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and dress for the weather.
– Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
– Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required.
– Tools & supplies provided, but please bring work gloves if you have them.
– Work may entail bending, kneeling, crouching, light lifting and a short walk from the meeting spot.
– Advance sign-up required. Meet at the Liberty Campground to check in and for project orientation
